The Beckman Coulter Optima TLX ultracentrifuge can be used in a variety of high-speed centrifugal applications. This machine has a variable-frequency induction drive, thermoelectric identification system, self-purging vacuum system, rotor overspeed ID system, and a memory that can save up to ten programs. The inducation motor of the Optima TLX is air cooled and has no gears or brushes, and the drive does not require and oil vacuum seal. This centrifuge is microprocessor controlled and operates by a touch-key control pad. Compatible rotors can accommodate sample volumes from 0.2ml to 5.1ml per tube. The Beckman Coulter Optima TLX also features a rotor imbalance detection system.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
