Features
The Avanti J-20XP features a brushless switched-reluctance drive motor, an automatic rotor identification system, FRS (friction reduction system) vacuum control circuitry, and a temperature control system with automatic temperature compensation unique for each compatible rotor.
The user interface has a digital display. The display can be toggled to show either actual centrifuge values or user-entered setup values, knobs for parameter entry, and touch keys. Diagnostic messages on the control panel will light to alert the operator to conditions that may need attention.
Applications include: routine processing such as sample preparations, pelleting, extractions, purifications, concentrations, phase separations, and spin column and spin filter centrifugations; rapid sedimentation of protein precipitates, large particles, and cell debris; preparation of subcellular organelles such as mitochondria, nuclei, chloroplasts, and crude microsomes; separation of blood cells and cellular components; pelleting of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells; gradient separation; nucleic acid precipitation; virus isolation; bacteriophage isolation.

Testing
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced. The bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape. The controls work properly.
We also test refrigeration to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. We measure all tolerances and clean the exterior and interior of all units. We test the rotor/centrifuge combinations together.
Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. We inspect fixed angle rotors are closely for body integrity We check swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.
