Features

The Optima MAX is designed for ease of use, with a microprocessor-controlled system and a touch-key control pad. Its air-cooled induction motor operates without gears or brushes, reducing maintenance needs. Furthermore, the centrifuge doesn't require an oil vacuum seal. Compatible rotors accommodate sample volumes from 0.2ml to 5.1ml per tube, ensuring flexibility for various sample sizes. For added safety, the Optima MAX includes a rotor imbalance detection system.

Testing

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly.

If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.
