Lore meaning “The body of knowledge, especially of a traditional or anecdotal subject” is the name given to a combination of five small batches of whisky ranging from 7 to 21 years for a rich flavour. These techniques have been passed down from generation to generation across Laphroaig's distillery managers, blenders and craftsmen. This deep mahogany coloured whisky is full bodied, complex and varied.

The nose is smoky and rich with hints of seaweed, ash, salt and dark chocolate. The palate is peaty and full of herbs and spice. The finish is initially short and dry; however, a subtle sweet taste lingers.
