The Voice Alert Monitor is a mobility aid designed to protect people who wander, the frail, elderly, and people with dementia. Wandering can lead to situations fraught with danger, such as stairs, front gates, streets and roads.
As an essential living aid, the Voice Alert Monitor ensures that people remain in a safe environment and the people caring for them can feel more confident.
The Voice Alert Monitor is easy-to-install and consists of an alarm unit and a magnetic pull cord. This cord attaches to a person’s clothing, so that any abrupt movement, like getting up quickly, or falling, triggers the alarm, which in turn alerts the carer, who can then come to their assistance.
The main alarm monitor can be easily attached to either a headboard, or wheelchair, or can be free-standing.
The Voice Alert Monitor is an efficient mobility aid and has four different alarm tones. This aid also has the option of a personalised voice recording by someone familiar.
The Voice Alert Monitor can be used in conjunction with Voice Alert Sensor mats and a Door Banner. It needs 4 x AA batteries which aren’t included. This mobility aid also features a flashing light alarm; loud, or soft volume settings; battery check light and a wall mounting bracket.
As a living aid, it is practical, friendly and unobtrusive.
The magnet should not be put within 15 cm (5.9 inches) of someone with an implanted device.
